Terms Of Service

Website, Consultations, In-Home Training & Virtual Separation Anxiety Programs

Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By using jennathedogtrainer.com, submitting an application or contact form, scheduling a Chat with Jenna, paying for any service, or participating in training, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) and JennaLee Gallicchio, doing business as Jenna The Dog Trainer (“Jenna,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Jenna The Dog Trainer provides professional puppy training, in-home dog training, behavior modification, and virtual separation anxiety coaching. Jenna is a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT), mentored in the Malena DeMartini protocol, and an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer (ABCDT). Training is force-free, fear-free, and based on positive reinforcement and relationship-based methods.

  • Website: https://www.jennathedogtrainer.com

  • Email: info@jennathedogtrainer.com

  • Phone: 908-370-9620

  • Primary in-person service area: Tri-Cities, Tennessee (including Johnson City and surrounding communities)

  • Virtual separation anxiety programs: available to clients with reliable internet, generally throughout the United States and other parts of North America, subject to acceptance

These Terms also apply to related brands and prior business names used in connection with the same services, including All Star Paws Dog Training, to the extent those services continue under Jenna The Dog Trainer.

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.

  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail.  We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

You accept these Terms when you do any of the following:

  • Visit or use the Website;

  • Submit a contact form, application, questionnaire, or scheduling request;

  • Book or attend a free Chat with Jenna;

  • Pay an invoice, package fee, or deposit;

  • Attend an in-home session, virtual consultation, or coaching call; or

  • Access training plans, videos, community spaces, or other Client materials.

If you do not agree, do not use the Website or purchase services. If you are booking on behalf of a household, you represent that you have authority to bind the household and that all adult household members who will participate have been informed of these Terms.

3.1 In-Home Services (Tri-Cities, TN)

In-home services are offered to clients in the Tri-Cities, Tennessee area, subject to travel and scheduling availability. Current offerings include:

  • Puppy Training for puppies generally 5 months and younger, covering crate training, housetraining, nipping, calm manners, leash walking, socialization guidance, and foundational skills;

  • In-Home Dog Training for basic obedience and everyday manners (sit, down, stay, come, focus, jumping, barking, leash manners, crate training, and similar goals); and

  • Behavior Modification for fear, anxiety, reactivity, excessive barking, leash lunging, and related issues using management, desensitization, counter-conditioning, and owner education.

Typical structure (as published on the Website and subject to change): an initial consultation of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours is required for new in-home clients, followed by 60-minute sessions sold individually or in packages. Training begins during the consultation when appropriate.

3.2 Virtual Separation Anxiety Programs

National / virtual programs are designed for dogs with separation-related distress or panic when left alone. Current offerings include:

  • Virtual Head Start — a live consult and threshold assessment used as a prerequisite for packages;

  • 4-Week Intensive Training Package — customized daily-style plans, weekly live check-ins, video review, data charting, and weekday support;

  • 9-Week Leave Fido Home Alone™ Support Program — companion coaching used with Malena DeMartini’s Mission Possible program (included where stated), weekly check-ins, video feedback, progress tracking, and support; and

  • Subsequent continuation packages and optional extensions, as agreed in writing.

Virtual separation anxiety work is conducted remotely (typically Zoom or similar), with recorded training videos supplied by you. Virtual delivery is used because the goal is for the dog to be comfortable when you leave — not when a trainer is physically present.

3.3 Free Chat with Jenna

The complimentary approximately 20-minute call is a fit and planning conversation. It is not a training session, diagnosis, or guarantee of acceptance into a program. Jenna may decline or refer out any case that is outside scope, unsafe, or a poor fit.

3.4 What We Do Not Provide

  • Veterinary diagnosis, treatment, medication decisions, or emergency care;

  • Guaranteed “fixes,” specific timelines, or outcomes;

  • Training for serious human- or dog-directed aggression that Jenna determines is outside her current scope (those cases may be referred to a veterinary behaviorist or other specialist);

  • Board-and-train, daycare, boarding, grooming, walking, or 24/7 on-call care;

  • Legal advice, housing/landlord letters that certify a specific clinical diagnosis, or service-dog public-access certification unless separately agreed in writing.

Services generally begin with a contact or application form and a free Chat with Jenna. Submitting a form does not reserve a package or create a training contract until Jenna confirms availability, accepts the case, and payment is received (unless otherwise arranged in writing).

You agree to provide complete and honest information about your dog’s history, including bites, snaps, growls, resource guarding, medical conditions, medications, prior trainers, living situation, and other animals or people in the home. Failure to disclose material facts may result in immediate termination without refund.

Jenna may accept, waitlist, decline, or refer any inquiry at her sole discretion, including for geographic, schedule, safety, methodology, or capacity reasons.

Dog training results depend primarily on what happens between sessions. You agree to:

  • Participate in sessions and complete assigned homework, management, and daily plans;

  • For separation anxiety programs, submit requested videos, daily progress reports, and stay at or below the agreed threshold rather than “pushing through” panic;

  • Keep the dog’s environment safe (secure fencing, crates, baby gates, tethers, and management tools as recommended);

  • Inform Jenna promptly of setbacks, medical changes, new household members, schedule changes, or incidents;

  • Ensure a responsible adult is present for in-home visits and that children are supervised;

  • Not use shock, prong, choke, or other aversive tools or methods that conflict with the agreed force-free plan unless Jenna has specifically discussed an exception in writing; and

  • Obtain any required landlord, HOA, or household-member consent for training activities.

If household members undermine the plan (for example, by allowing rehearsal of panic, using punishment, or skipping management), progress will stall and Jenna may pause or end services

Jenna uses science-based, force-free, fear-free methods: food, toys, praise, play, management, and carefully timed consequences that are not physically, mentally, or emotionally harmful. Separation anxiety work follows a systematic desensitization approach associated with the CSAT / Malena DeMartini protocol.

You understand that:

  • Every dog is an individual. History, genetics, medical status, living situation, and consistency all affect the pace of change.

  • True separation anxiety is a panic disorder / phobia. Dogs generally do not “outgrow” it without structured work, and there is no fixed end date.

  • Behavior can improve, plateau, or temporarily regress. Setbacks after illness, schedule changes, moving, new pets, or skipped management are common.

  • Jenna coaches you. You are the person implementing the plan in real life.

Current published rates (subject to change and confirmed at booking) include:

9-Week Leave Fido Home Alone™ Support Program $697

Subsequent SA continuation packages  $600 / 4 weeks or as quoted for 8 weeks

Prices on the Website control unless Jenna confirms a different written quote. Founding-member, beta, or hardship pricing, if offered, is limited and not transferable. Sales tax will be added if required by law.

Payment is due in full up front unless Jenna agrees otherwise in writing. Accepted methods currently include cash, check, credit card, Venmo, and Zelle. Third-party processors may charge their own fees. You authorize Jenna to collect amounts due and to recover unpaid balances, including reasonable collection costs.

Packages have a defined number of sessions or weeks. Unused in-home sessions expire 90 days after purchase unless an extension is approved in writing. Virtual program weeks run on the agreed calendar and are not paused except as provided in Section 8.

8.1 In-Home Sessions

  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. Notice given less than 24 hours before the appointment, or a no-show, uses one paid session (or is billed at the hourly rate if you are not on a package).

  • Jenna may cancel for weather, illness, safety, or emergency and will reschedule at no charge.

  • If Jenna arrives and cannot safely work (for example, an undisclosed aggressive dog, an uncontained dog, no adult present, or a contagious illness in the home), the visit may be ended and counted as used.

8.2 Virtual Appointments and Coaching Calls

  • Please give at least 12 hours’ notice to reschedule a live virtual consult or weekly check-in.

  • Late arrival of more than 10 minutes may shorten the call; more than 15 minutes without notice may be treated as a no-show.

  • You are responsible for your internet, camera, and a quiet space. Technical problems on your side do not automatically entitle you to a makeup.

8.3 Refunds

Because consultations, custom plans, video review, and reserved calendar time cannot be resold in the same way as retail goods:

  • The free Chat with Jenna has no fee and no refund issue.

  • Virtual Head Start and completed consultations are non-refundable once the live session has begun.

  • If you cancel a prepaid in-home package in writing before any paid session occurs, Jenna may refund the amount paid minus a $50 administrative fee.

  • After training has begun, unused in-home sessions may be refunded at Jenna’s discretion, typically minus completed sessions at the then-current single-session or consultation rate and a $50 administrative fee.

  • Separation anxiety packages (4-week, 9-week, and continuations) are generally non-refundable after the first live package session or after customized plans have been delivered, whichever comes first, because the work is individually designed. Unused future weeks are not automatically refundable.

  • Chargebacks initiated without first contacting Jenna to resolve a billing issue are a breach of these Terms. Jenna may pause services and dispute the chargeback with supporting records.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer right under applicable law.

You grant Jenna limited permission to enter the agreed areas of your property at the scheduled time for the sole purpose of providing training. You agree to:

  • Secure other animals as requested;

  • Disclose cameras, doorbell video, and any recording of the session;

  • Provide a reasonably clean, smoke-manageable working space;

  • Keep all people in the home informed that a trainer will be present; and

  • Not ask Jenna to work with a dog that has an untreated contagious disease, or to handle wildlife, livestock, or animals other than the contracted dog(s) unless agreed.

Jenna may leave immediately if she reasonably believes there is a safety, harassment, or sanitation issue. That visit may be billed.

You represent that dogs presented for training are, to your knowledge, in suitable health for the planned work and are current on vaccinations required by local law and recommended by your veterinarian (typically rabies, and for in-home work involving other environments, DHPP and Bordetella as advised by your vet). You will provide proof on request.

You must disclose bites, quarantine orders, legal designations (dangerous/vicious), ongoing veterinary behavior treatment, and any recommendation that the dog not be left with guests or children.

Jenna is not responsible for injury, illness, or death of an animal arising from pre-existing conditions, your management choices, other animals, or events outside a session. Seek veterinary care for medical concerns. Training is not a substitute for medical or behavioral veterinary care.

Jenna will use professional skill, the methods described on the Website, and customized plans. You acknowledge that animal behavior cannot be guaranteed. Factors outside Jenna’s control include genetics, medical issues, your schedule, other household members, prior learning history, and whether you implement the plan as designed.

Testimonials and typical timelines on the Website are examples, not promises that your dog will achieve the same result in the same time.

Working with dogs involves inherent risk, including scratches, knocks, trips, property damage, and bites to people or other animals. You voluntarily assume those risks for yourself, your household, guests, and your animals.

To the fullest extent permitted by Tennessee law, you release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless JennaLee Gallicchio, Jenna The Dog Trainer, All Star Paws Dog Training, and their contractors, employees, and representatives from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of: (a) your dog’s behavior; (b) your failure to follow management or training instructions; (c) injuries or property damage occurring in your home or during exercises you run when Jenna is not present; (d) your misrepresentation of the dog’s history; or (e) your breach of these Terms. This release does not apply to harm caused by Jenna’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, or to any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Jenna’s total liability for any claim arising out of the Website or Services will not exceed the amount you paid to Jenna for the specific package or session giving rise to the claim during the three (3) months before the claim. Jenna is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost wages, lost housing, or emotional distress, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Separation anxiety and many virtual services require you to record and send video of your dog. You grant Jenna a license to view, store, and use those materials to provide the Services, coach you, chart progress, and (if needed) consult with a mentor or supervisor under confidentiality.

Jenna will not use your name, face, address, or identifiable video in public marketing without your separate permission. You may grant optional photo/testimonial permission in a form, message, or email; you may withdraw future publicity consent at any time, but Jenna is not required to recall materials already published in print or that cannot reasonably be removed from third-party platforms.

You may not record Jenna’s live sessions for public posting, resale, or training of third parties without written consent. Private household recording for your own practice is allowed.

The Website, program names (including Leave Fido Home Alone™), written plans, trackers, handouts, graphs, videos created by Jenna, and coaching frameworks are owned by Jenna or her licensors. Mission Possible and other Malena DeMartini materials remain the property of their owners; your use of those materials is governed by their terms as well as these Terms.

You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use Client materials for training your own contracted dog(s). You may not copy, share in public groups, resell, or use the materials to train other clients or to offer competing coaching.

Weekday support during a paid virtual package is for questions related to that week’s plan. It is not emergency services and not a substitute for 911, animal control, or a veterinarian. Jenna typically responds during ordinary business hours in the U.S. Eastern Time zone and is not obligated to reply nights, weekends, or holidays except as a particular package expressly includes.

If a private community, group chat, or shared tracker is part of your program, you agree to be respectful, keep other clients’ information private, and refrain from giving medical or legal advice. Jenna may remove posts or access for conduct that is harassing, off-plan (for example, promoting aversive tools), or confidential-breaking.

Services may use Zoom or other video platforms, email, text, payment processors (cards, Venmo, Zelle), website hosts (including Wix), scheduling tools, and third-party curricula such as Mission Possible. Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies. Jenna is not responsible for outages, account bans, or data practices of third parties.

The Website is provided “as is.” Content is general information, not a personal training plan, until you are an accepted paying Client. You may not scrape, copy large portions of the site, impersonate Jenna, or use the site for unlawful purposes. We may suspend access, update content, or change prices at any time. Published prices apply to new purchases after the change; they do not alter a package you already paid for.

Our Privacy Policy (https://www.jennathedogtrainer.com/privacy-policy) describes how we handle personal information. These Terms and the Privacy Policy should be read together. If they conflict on a service or payment issue, these Terms control; if they conflict on data-protection wording, the Privacy Policy controls for that issue.

Either party may end the working relationship by written notice (email is sufficient). Jenna may terminate immediately if you: withhold material safety information; use methods that conflict with the agreed plan after being asked to stop; miss repeated sessions; harass Jenna or household members; fail to pay; or create an unsafe environment.

Upon termination, your license to ongoing support and community access ends. Sections that by nature should survive (payment obligations, IP, confidentiality, liability limits, governing law) remain in effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes that proceed in court is the state or federal courts serving Washington County, Tennessee, unless a non-waivable law requires otherwise.

Before filing a claim, please email info@jennathedogtrainer.com and allow 30 days to resolve the issue in good faith. If a dispute is eligible for small-claims court in your or Jenna’s county, either party may use that court.

If you are a consumer, nothing here waives rights you cannot legally waive. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Jenna may update these Terms by posting a new version on the Website and revising the “Last Updated” date. Changes apply to new purchases and to continuing month-to-month or subsequent packages that begin after the update. Material changes that affect an active, prepaid package will be sent to the email on file when practical.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, your intake/application responses, and any written package confirmation or invoice together are the entire agreement for the Website and Services. They replace prior oral or informal promises. WhatsApp, text, or social-media comments are not contract amendments unless Jenna confirms the change by email or signed writing. Jenna’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
